Over-Roofing - Many typical 1960's buildings designed with a felted flat roof on metal decking, which on coming to the end of its design life can cause serious problems with leaks and require continuous maintenance problems due to the roof's easy access for vandals.
PSP are able to offer 2 systems to overcome these issues: The clear span truss system is an ideal solution where no direct loading is acceptable on the existing flat roof. This tried, tested and proven solution to achieving clear span options up to 30 metres. The system utilises a purlin and channel section, which are factory precision punched and bolted on site for a quick and simple assembly.
The fully supported truss system can offer savings over the clear span truss system, and can be used where the existing flat roof can accept a load. The lightweight components can be roof or ground assembled and is easily manually lifted into position without disruption to building or occupants.
Both systems can be supplied in kit or pre-fabricated form.
